5 Things I Appreciate About SUNY Oswego
Grandma and Grandpa, thank you so much for your support and encouragement of my education. I want to share a few reasons why SUNY Oswego is so important to me.
Each course I take challenges me, making me learn more things each and every day. The professors are experts in their fields but also genuinely care for student success. I am currently taking courses in Broadcast Media, and the classes are challenging, but I am learning so much!
This college has lots of resources for careers after school. This includes internship programs, career fairs, resume workshops, and more. Although I personally have not taken advantage of these, I have heard wonderful things about how much help they are!
At Oswego, safety and well-being are top priorities. The campus has 24/7 security, well-lit pathways, and emergency response systems. Students look out for one another with our strong sense of community and as well as all staff members being approachable. It’s calming knowing that I am in a safe environment away from home.
All students have access to lots of things, like labs and research programs that help them understand deeper into their majors. For example, with my major, I can do an internship or I can even study abroad! Everything Oswego offers will help me develop skills for the real world and make me more competitive in the job market.
I know tuition is not cheap, so your support means more than you know. I am going to work hard so your support pays off in the long run! I am focusing on my academics as well as personal growth. I’ve already had to learn a healthy balance between my studies and my social life, which helps with time management. All of the things. I have learned and will continue to learn will help me with my future.
You guys have no idea how much your love and support mean to me. I will forever be grateful that you have helped me with this experience. Thank you so so much!
